After that, he was appointed Head of publishing at Belgium Contact (PR agency). He has also worked as Editor & Head of Publishing at CV- magazine (professional ad-magazine. Then, she worked for Winterthur Europe Assurances and later for Spa and Bru mineral water provider, Spadel s.a. She has worked for McDonald’s as Marketing & Communications Director, and now she is Marketing Director at Mobistar. During her career, Nathalie has received awards such as Nominated Marketer of the year in 2009 and Media Advertiser of the year 2009, and won a long term Silver Effie Award for McDonald’s in 2012.
 
Stephan Smets Managing Director ENGAGE BBDO
Stephan is Managing Director and Co-founder of ENGAGE BBDO, a member agency of the BBDO Worldwide Network, specialised in brand activation and customer engagement. He started his career at Nestlé where he was responsible for instant drinks (Nescafé, Nesquik) and was later co-founder of N’lil, one of the first sales promotion agencies. He is a former president of the Belgian Association of Communication Companies – Expert Center Brand Activation and is now board member of the European IMC council. Stephan Smets is guest speaker at different marketing and advertising institutions such as the Belgian Marketing Fund, VLEKHO, Ghent University, Plato, 360° Academy, and Student Marketing Congress and teaches at the UBA Academy (Federation of Belgian advertisers).

David is CEO of Momentum Prague, an advertising agency (part of McCann Worldgroup in the Czech Republic) focused on integrated campaigns supporting clients’ sales. Prior to joining Momentum in 2008, he was founder and co-owner of a leading local agency in Prague. During his 18 years in the advertising industry, he has worked for more than 100 clients from many different business sectors in the Czech Republic. Ondrej works as New Business Director at g-in* agency in Prague. He has been working in advertising for over 16 years. During his career, Ondrej worked in the creative department of TBWA Prague and of Wunderman, part of Young&Rubicam. In 2000, he co-founded the strategic and creative agency Garp, which specialises in integrated marketing and digital communication. For the first 5 years, Ondrej worked there as a Strategic Planner and has now taken over the Business Development department.

He had worked as an advertising manager for many years and in 2005 he founded B2B Media s.r.o. - a publishing company for direct marketing monthly, Direkt. Jakub has a daughter and two sons. His hobby is applied arts and his favorite artist (for this year) is Martin Eder.

For three years, Jan has been working as a journalist at Empresa Media. One of his key issues is sales promotion and FMCG marketing. Previously, he worked for Czech public radio stations and the German foundation Hertie Stiftung. He also spent two years in Germany and has done an Internship focused on multicultural relations and studied political science and media in Universities of Konstanz and Regensburg. In 2011, he took the role of PR manager at the second Prague International Advertising Festival (PIAF). Jan is also co-editor at a new weekly magazine MarketingSalesMedia.

Now, he is responsible for leading Ogilvy Action. More recently, he has concentrated on sport marketing where he has realized big sport projects/events such as Jizerska 50 (cross country race, the biggest winter event in the Czech Republic), Primatorky (rowing regatta), Swatch FIVB World Tour in Prague (beach volleyball). During his time at Ogilvy Group, Marek has realized communications projects for many prominent local and international clients such as Coca Cola, Česká pojišťovna (Czech Insurance Company), Procter & Gamble, Telefonica O2 or Energy provider ČEZ. Marek shares his acquired marketing skills at the university where he gives lessons in activation of sponsorship. 'It is not the strongest brand that survives nor the most intelligent, it is the one that is most adaptable to change.' This is what inspired Jur Baart to start Fitzroy – named after the captain of the Beagle, the ship on which Darwin did his famous travels. This cross-media agency, founded with his best friend Marnix Tiggeloven, believes that boutique agencies are ideally positioned to capitalize on new trends. The agency is known for making natural connections between on and offline and to not be afraid of trying out new technologies. Even though Fitzroy is not very big it works for a wide range of clients – both local and international – like Ben & Jerry’s, Bacardi, Heineken, Accenture, Hyundai, Cornetto and Lenovo.

After graduation he started working in the field of marketing, sales and customer service. He started his career at Fortis Bank, moved to a marketing consultancy working for VODW Marketing. He joined Triodos Bank in 2004. Since then he has been responsible for all marketing activities for the Bank in the Netherlands, supporting a number of customers.

Alvaro Ales has worked as marketer at some of the best known companies in the spirits industry until he founded a Marketing & Communications agency. For 5 years, he was in the Marketing department of Diageo, first in London working for brands such as Croft, Gonzalez Byass and later in Spain for J&B Scotch Whisky. Alvaro also worked for 4 years for Pernod Ricard where he was responsible for marketing brands such as Larios Gin, Jameson and Wild Turkey amongst others. He worked briefly in the telecoms industry as Marketing Vice-President for Telefonica B2B, and then became Marketing Director of Bodegas Luis Caballero, a well-known wine and spirits company in Spain. Currently Alvaro is the Managing Director of Arena 360º, an integrated Marketing and Communications agency part of the group Havas, one of the top 5 in its industry in the world.

Juan has won awards in many national and international advertising festivals such as Cannes, Eurobest, New York Festival, FIAP, The Cup, Epica, Genio Vocento, Club de Creativos, Effie Awards (Effectiveness Award) and El Sol (San Sebastián). He has helped to position the agency in creative awards rankings of Spanish advertising (being named in 2010 the best Spanish agency in Media Innovation). Juan was also part of the jury at El Sol Advertising Festival 2013 in Spain and sat at the Cuspide Advertising Festival 2012 (Puerto Rico) jury.

Eduard has been rewarded with more than 50 awards in several national and international advertising festivals like Cannes, El Sol, The New York Festivals, Eurobest, FAB Awards, John Caples and many others. He has been part of the jury at the Global Awards, El Sol and CdeC Festivals.

Flavio is Executive Creative Director at Y&R Peru and has an extensive international career of 23 years working in agencies and countries as varied as Delvico Bates, Cathedral and Tandem DDB (Spain); 180 (Holland); Prolam Y&R, Ogilvy and Leo Burnett (Chile); Leo Burnett Peru and Lowe Mexico. He has earned almost every important award in the industry, including 10 lions in Cannes, Clio, One Show, London International, New York, Webbys, Art Directors Club, El Ojo de Iberoamerica, FIAP, El Sol and London Circle Awards. He has also been awarded with two Grand Effies. As the author of the most awarded campaign in the history of Peruvian advertising: “From Peru For Peru”, made for the Peru Country Brand, he won 8 Grand Prix awards in different festivals worldwide. He is a member of Y&R’s global board of creative directors and has been recognized as Peru’s best creative director for 3 years in a row.

Currently, Felipe works in Caixabank, the leading Spanish financial institution. Based in Seville, he is the General Manager of a major area in southern Spain. He has worked in several positions at different areas of responsibility for Caixabank in Andalucia for 25 years, mainly handling companies and retail. He is also a professor at the Bussiness Studios University (ETEA) in Cordoba, teaching postgraduate courses specialized in Marketing and Sales techniques.

Jamie left university with a degree and CIM Diploma in Marketing before jumping straight into agency life in Triangle where he spent 6 years. His experience covered a full range of clients and disciplines, including Lloyds TSB, Safeway, Whitbread, and Barclays Bank. He then joined Billington Cartmell where he spent 18 months heading up their Kraft and Unilever accounts. In 2006, Jamie set up Initials along with Richard Barrett and Kevin Twittey as Managing Director. Although holding this position in the agency, he works hard to ensure the majority of his time spent adds value to client business. He is also an active member in the industry having judged and chaired many awards panels across the MAA, IPM, and Globes Awards, and has now recently taken up the post of Deputy Chairman of the MAA. Jamie also recently set up a new company in the UK called Sellcheck which offers clients the ability to produce more effective shopper led communication through the combination of eye tracking simulation software and advice offered by expert panelists.
